Dear Parents and Students,
My name is Mrs. Chippero and I am going to be your fourth grade teacher this year at Walt Disney Elementary. I am so excited to have this opportunity. I have been teaching in the San Ramon Valley USD for sixteen years, nine of which have been at Walt Disney. I became a teacher because I love helping people and watching them grow in their own time and ways. In this profession, I get that chance everyday.
My Educational Philosophy:
I believe that the classroom is a community in which all learners feel safe and valued. I strive to challenge students to learn to think, engage, and interact deeply and eagerly with their learning experiences.
Communication with students and parents is critical for success. It is important that a teacher, student, and parent work together to create the best environment for the child. Being available through direct email, phone, and conferences will allow for the constant communication each student needs for success.
I encourage my students to think outside the walls of the classroom. I apply all lessons to real world situations; so that he/she understands that the learning is important and practical. By teaching lessons beyond the confines of the classroom, I am able to create passionate and caring young individuals who believe they can make a difference in their community.
